Fresno’s XPEL Certified Installer Premium Paint Protection Film, Ceramic Coating & Window Tint
Fresno’s Central Valley summers push past 100°F for months on end, with over 260 days of punishing sun beating down on your vehicle’s paint, interior, and cabin temperature. That kind of exposure doesn’t just fade; it cracks paint, dents dashboards, blisters leather, and turns every drive into an oven. Our shop is one of a select number of XPEL-certified installers in the region, offering the full lineup of XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS, STEALTH, and ceramic window films, backed by transferable lifetime warranties.
Why Fresno Drivers Need Window Tint
Beat the Central Valley Heat Before It Hits Your Cabin
Fresno doesn’t get “warm summers”; it gets 40 to 50 days above 100°F every year, with dashboard surface temperatures climbing to 160°F or higher in direct sun. Ceramic window tint rejects up to 85% of infrared heat before it enters your cabin, meaning your A/C isn’t fighting a losing battle from June through September. Drivers who tint here don’t do it for looks first. They do it because the difference between a tinted and an untinted vehicle in a Fresno parking lot is between comfortable and unbearable.
260+ Sunny Days Means Year-Round UV Damage
Most people think about UV protection in summer, but Fresno’s climate delivers intense UV exposure almost every day of the year. That constant bombardment fades leather seats, cracks vinyl, and degrades factory interiors faster than nearly any other metro in California. Quality ceramic window film blocks over 99% of UV rays, preserving your interior and reducing the risk of skin cancer associated with daily driving in the Valley.
Highway 99 Glare and Long Valley Commutes
Anyone who drives Highway 99 between Fresno and Visalia or even the daily stretch through town knows the late-afternoon sun glare coming off the westbound pavement. Window tint cuts that blinding glare significantly, reducing eye strain and improving visibility during the golden-hour commutes that make Valley driving genuinely dangerous in summer and fall.
Privacy and Security for Valley Life
Whether your vehicle is parked at River Park, at a job site in the industrial district, or in your driveway overnight, window tint adds a layer of privacy, keeping valuables out of sight. Darker films make it difficult for anyone walking by to see what’s inside, which is a simple, passive theft deterrent that costs nothing after the initial install.
A Sharper Look That Holds Up
Beyond the functional benefits, a professional tint job transforms the appearance of any vehicle, truck, sedan, or SUV. Factory glass appears flat and unfinished compared to properly installed ceramic film. And because we use XPEL ceramic films rated for long-term clarity, you’re not dealing with the bubbling, purpling, and peeling that cheap dye-based tints develop after a year or two in this climate.
How It Works
When your vehicle arrives, it undergoes preparation, which sometimes includes a brief wash to prevent contamination during the installation process. Once finished, all of the window patterns are printed out specifically to the year, make, and model of the car, and the installation begins. Each tint is adhered to each corresponding window, usually starting from the front to the back, depending on the vehicle.

If you want your tint done right, this is the only place to go. I’ve had three cars tinted, no issues have ever popped up, and my vehicles are always returned cleaner than when I brought them in.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are the percentages of window tint?
There are four standard percentage options — 50%, 35%, 20%, and 5%.
How dark am I allowed to tint my windows?
Each state has their own tinting laws. If you’re interested in having window tinting applied to your car, consider the laws of the state you live in.
How to care for car window tint?
The less, the better. Use a soft microfiber cloth and avoid harsh cleaners.
How much does window tinting cost in Fresno?
Window tinting in Fresno typically ranges from $199 to $699, depending on the type of film, the number of windows, and the vehicle size. Basic dye-based tints sit at the lower end. At the same time, premium ceramic films like XPEL PRIME XR and XR PLUS cost more because they deliver significantly better heat rejection and longevity. We provide free quotes based on your specific vehicle and the film you choose. Pricing is always straightforward with no hidden fees. For most sedans, a full ceramic tint job falls in the $350 to $550 range.
What is the darkest legal window tint in California?
California law allows 70% VLT (visible light transmission) on the front side windows, meaning the film can only block 30% of light. There is no VLT restriction on the rear side windows or the back windshield, so those can be tinted as dark as you want, including 5% limo tint. The front windshield allows a non-reflective tint strip only on the top 4 inches. We help every customer choose a setup that maximizes heat rejection and privacy within legal limits, so you don’t have to deal with fix-it tickets after install.
What tint percentage options do you offer?
We offer a full range of VLT options across the XPEL PRIME film line: 5%, 15%, 20%, 30%, 35%, 50%, and 70%. Most Fresno customers go with 70% ceramic on the front side windows to stay legal while still getting serious heat rejection, and 15% or 20% on the rear windows for privacy and a clean look. The beauty of XPEL’s ceramic technology is that even the lighter shades reject a significant amount of infrared heat. A 70% ceramic film outperforms a cheap 5% dye film on actual heat rejection every time.
How long does window tinting take?
Most vehicles take between two and four hours for a full tint job. A standard sedan with all side windows and the rear windshield typically runs about two to three hours. Larger vehicles, like SUVs and trucks with additional rear windows, can take closer to 4 hours. We don’t rush installs; every edge is precision cut, and the film is allowed to set properly before your vehicle leaves the shop. We recommend leaving your windows up for 48 to 72 hours after installation to allow the adhesive to fully cure, which is especially fast in Fresno’s warm, dry climate.
Is ceramic tint worth the extra cost in Fresno?
In most climates, ceramic tint is a nice upgrade. In Fresno, it’s practically a necessity. When your vehicle sits in 105°F heat for 8 hours in a parking lot, the difference between dye-based and ceramic films is dramatic. XPEL PRIME XR PLUS rejects up to 98% of infrared heat, which means your cabin stays significantly cooler, your A/C recovers faster, and your interior isn’t being slowly cooked by the sun every day from May through October. Over the life of the vehicle, the reduced A/C strain alone offsets the upfront cost difference, and the film won’t be purple or bubble like cheaper alternatives will after a year or two in this climate.
How do I care for my new window tint?
For the first week after installation, avoid rolling your windows down and don’t clean the interior glass surface. You may notice small water bubbles or a slightly hazy appearance during the curing period. This is normal and will clear up within a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on conditions. Fresno’s heat and low humidity actually speed up the curing process considerably compared to coastal climates. After the film has cured, clean with a soft microfiber cloth and an ammonia-free glass cleaner; avoid abrasive pads or any cleaner containing ammonia, as these can break down the film over time.
Will window tint affect my visibility at night?
This is one of the most common concerns we hear, and the answer depends entirely on the shade and film quality. On the front side windows, California’s 70% VLT requirement ensures minimal impact on nighttime visibility; most drivers don’t notice any difference. On the rear windows, darker shades like 15% or 20% will reduce visibility through those windows at night. Still, since you primarily rely on your side mirrors and rearview camera for rear visibility, most customers find it’s not an issue. High-quality ceramic films like XPEL PRIME also maintain better optical clarity than cheap dye films, which tend to develop haze that can genuinely hurt night visibility as they age.
Does window tint actually block UV rays?
Yes, and this is one of the most underrated reasons to tint, especially in Fresno’s climate. XPEL PRIME ceramic films block over 99% of UVA and UVB rays regardless of the shade. Even a nearly clear 70% film on your front windows provides full UV protection. Considering that the Skin Cancer Foundation recognizes window film as a recommended UV protectant and that Fresno averages over 260 sunny days per year, tinting is one of the simplest things you can do to protect both your skin and your vehicle’s interior from cumulative sun damage.
Do you offer a warranty on window tinting?
Every XPEL PRIME window film installation we perform comes with XPEL’s manufacturer warranty, which covers defects in the film, including bubbling, peeling, cracking, and discoloration. Because we’re an XPEL-certified installer, your warranty is backed directly by XPEL, not just our shop. This means if you move out of the area, any authorized XPEL dealer can honor your warranty claim. We also stand behind our installation workmanship. If anything related to how the film was applied doesn’t meet standards, we’ll make it right.
Can you remove old or damaged window tint?
Absolutely. Old, bubbling, purple tint is one of the most common things we see, especially on used vehicles that had cheap film installed years ago. We handle full tint removal before any new installation. The process involves carefully removing the old film and all adhesive residue without damaging your defroster lines or glass. Removal adds some time and cost to the appointment, depending on how badly the old film has deteriorated, but it’s essential for a clean new install. If you’re not sure whether your current tint needs replacing, bring the vehicle by, and we’ll take a look at it for no charge.
Why should I choose XPEL film over other tint brands?
XPEL is one of the most respected names in automotive protection for a reason. Their PRIME XR and XR PLUS ceramic films consistently outperform competitors in independent heat rejection testing, optical clarity, and long-term durability. The films use nano-ceramic particle technology rather than dye or metallic layers, which means no signal interference with GPS, Bluetooth, or satellite radio, a real issue with older metallic films. XPEL also backs its products with strong manufacturer warranties through its certified dealer network. As a certified installer, we have direct access to XPEL’s full product line and technical support, which means your installation meets factory specifications.
Do you tint Teslas and electric vehicles?
We tint Teslas regularly: Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X. EVs are among the best candidates for ceramic window tint because reducing cabin heat means less strain on the climate control system, which directly preserves battery range. Tesla’s large glass roof panels on the Model 3 and Model Y let in significant amounts of heat and UV, even with the factory coating, and adding XPEL PRIME XR PLUS to the roof glass makes a noticeable difference in cabin comfort. We’re familiar with the specific glass dimensions and installation requirements for every current Tesla model, so the fit is precise, and the result is clean.
